Hello and thank you for your interest in large wood and King County rivers!
The Tolt Pipeline Protection Project is at 60 percent design and an Instream Project Design Checklist has been completed. As part of the project, large wood will be placed in the Snoqualmie River. Both the plans and checklist are posted on the project web page and the King County Large Wood Project Installation web page (links below).
At earlier design phases, the Tolt Pipeline Protection Project (formerly known as the Winkelman Revetment Project) was presented at both the 2014 and 2015 Large Wood Annual Meeting, hosted by King County (presentation links below).
The Tolt Pipeline Protection Project is located on the right (north) bank of the Snoqualmie River at River Mile 12.9-13.1, south of Duvall. The primary project goal is to reconstruct the revetment on the north side of the river that protects the Tolt River water supply pipeline.
Final project design will be completed in the first quarter of 2016 and construction is scheduled for summer and fall of 2016. If you have questions or comments, please contact Chase Barton, Senior Engineer, River and Floodplain Management Section at 206-477-4854 or chase.barton@kingcounty.gov.
