Postby PinkyF » Wed Dec 14, 2016 10:28 pm

WHEN:
April 8, 2017 @ 9:00 am – April 9, 2017 @ 5:00 pm
WHERE:
Cedar River
Landsburg Park
Landsburg Rd SE, Maple Valley, WA 98038
USA
WRRR members have an opportunity to take a 2-day River Rescue Certification training course at a reduced rate. Normally, you would pay $250 for this class, but WRRR is bringing your price down to $75. That’s right – for $75, you will receive 2 days of professional river rescue training and be certified as a River Rescue Technician for 3 years. You will learn rope work and rescue techniques. You will participate in rescue simulations on and off the river. You will learn to be a leader and to be part of a team.

Space is limited. We have 15 slots open. To sign up, you must be a current member and your membership must not expire before April 30. Preference will be given to current WRRR members, followed by people whose memberships lapsed in 2015 or 2016, followed by new members and people with older memberships who renew. Anyone who took the class in 2015 will be last on the list. You must be 15 years old or older to participate in this course. You will also need to have your own river gear including a drysuit (this is April in Washington).

If you want to sign up for the course, contact David Elliott or Brenan Filippini before March 1, 2017. If you are in the same family and need to be able to go together, please specify.

Note: Signing up does not guarantee you a space. If we get more than 15 people, we will have a lottery on March 1 and let everyone know the results.

A few people cant make it to the safety class, which means people on the waiting list are moving up! Make sure if you are on the list to keep the dates open!!!
