November 2024 Board Meeting Minutes

WRRR Admin / November 12, 2024

1. Call to order – Rebecca, Brenan, Tamie, Mark, Randy, Duane, Nancy – called to order @ 7:07 PM
2. Review minutes and approve (Check previous month’s action items)  Nancy moved to approve, Brenan 2nd – All approved.

5. Standing Committee Reports

• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – Megan Kelly – not present – NTR
• River Watch – Candice Larson – not present – NTR
• Wood on lower Green – no recent update
• Safety and Education – Candice Larson – NTR
• Communications (Website)– Brenan Filippini/Jarrad Kruger
  • Election results are attached.  No surprises.  I saved the screen view as our free version doesn’t allow the data to be exported to Excel or a PDF.  I think this is enough, but if we need a record of all emails that voted I can screenshot those too.
  • Email system is now active.  We moved to MailChimp and after a month with the standard plan I moved it to the free option which appears to be enough for our needs.  If at some point, we need more capacity the cost is about $85/yr after taxes.  We get up to 400 emails/month with the free version, so this is only enough for sending out the Waterlog and one other notice each month. 
  • I took the Paypal information and filtered it for members that had payments in 2023/2024, the list is attached (in the email).  There is some reconciliation that will need to be done. 
  • • I then took all names that have no recorded payment in 2023 or 2024.  There are 169 names.  I suggest the Board consider reaching out to these individuals with either a rejoin request or promotion.  The list should be scrubbed for accuracy, but this could be a good opportunity to increase our numbers.

• Events
  • Hangover Float needs – Randy and Nancy will run prior and clear what needs cleared. Cut a new trail to/from river

• • Sauktoberfest recap – Brenan said decent flow. All went well. 15-17 participants. Several swimmers.
  • Gear Swap recap – Pizza from gear swap, Karie needs to be reimbursed. Small turnout. Some repairs got done. Oars repaired. Not a lot of swapping. Good time was had by all. Nancy has volunteered to write an article.
  • Cispus River Celebration May 17 & 18. WKS and PTCC organizing. WRRR needs representation – Mike Decker reached out to Repo for WRRR representation. Lance Bailey will if not on another trip. Possibly Candice or Duane to represent WRRR? Add event to WRRR calendar.
  • Misc River Ops – Randy – Reach out to Commercial companies and Forest Service early on to see if we can make the Tieton happen. Discovery Pass needed at takeout.
