    1. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:   Rebecca Post:
      1. We held our first on-line auction and raised $2000!!! We posted this information in as many spots as we could.  During the auction the website had some glitches.  David got things up and running.  Thanks!
      2. We reached out to as many groups as we could find.   Bella responded.   We have approved the scholarship of Bella Phoenix for a three day beginning kayak course with Wet Planet.  This scholarship money is funded by 100% silent auction proceeds.
      3. We have partnered with Wet Planet to get 25% off on any of their courses for BIPOC scholarships.  This will help us extend donation dollars.
      4. Jessica has developed a great tracking tool for other content on the WRRR website
      5. We are pursuing American Canoe Association Raft Instructor training and hoping to send at least two WRRR members to this training ($500 each).  This is to help with the Progression.  If we have Raft instructors on the Progression we can be covered under the ACA umbrella insurance.  *Note, discussed at the DEI committee, but will be moved to the safety committee*
      6.  We discussing the possibility of having more WRRR members be ACA raft certified which can help with trip dynamics when we have several newbies.  People can still be rafting mentors without the ACA Certification, but they cannot be covered by the ACA insurance.  More to follow in the upcoming safety committee meetings.
      7.  We look forward to working with the new board in January to start making concrete plans in this regard.
      8.  Triad, NW rafting and Wet planet are all local outfitters that are helping us.   All are assisting us with partial and / or full funding for BIPOC training and trips!  Awesome!!!

      1. Thursday 12-17-2020 Cispus call in meeting 12-2pm.   This is regarding the ongoing improvements to the copper canyon facilities.   Anyone can call in, and we encourage people to call in and help voice support!

      1. $822 in ticket sales.   David reports this is about average seems to be a little lower than the poker run.   Tickets were defective!!!  Some were blank!!   David found this error, nice catch!   He checked each one and discarded bad tickets.   David says that we could prepare the “keep this coupon” before the event.   That would save a lot of time.    Nancy will sell tickets and T-shirts next year – Thanks!    Brenan reminds board members to really check the minutes.
      2. Toilets at the put-in.   Brenan saw 2 toilets at the put in last weekend….  They weren’t there for the Rendezvous weekend.   There was 1 at Peshatin for the Rendevous.   Brenan will contact Apple and W/W pumping and find out who is paying for the toilets right now.  Then we can piggyback and share costs.    The King of poo will figure things out!
      3. Nancy wants to move 1 camp toilet so they are in different spots.   No problem.   Brenan asks if 2 toilets are enough.  Consensus is that 2 toilets are enough.   Nancy asked if the trash got picked up.   Brenan grabbed it.   Maybe the trash will get moved to Blaine, WA.   Brenan will get pricing from Apple valley and W/W for next year if Mindy does not find a campground.   See below
      4. Alternate campsite.   Mindy brought this up at the Wenatchee General membership.    A few board members note that camping is very hard to find.    Many of the board members like Eagle Creek.   We did note that it is a long ways up the road and may affect some people showing up and ticket sales.  Brenan talked to Mindy and she will look around for alternatives.   She will notify the board if she finds a spot.   Per Rebecca Meadow Creek is off the list!   Chiwakum Creek Dispersed camping is still closed.   Tumwater Campground is still closed.  Brenan notes an old abandonded camp like Tumwater is accross from Nason Creek Campground (lake wenatchee area) but that is even furthur then Eagle Creek.
    2. Sauk Overnighter status (2018-06-16)   30 people are signed up.   Rebecca will bring a saw to cut any branches at the camp.   Brenan notes that people are dropping boats at all different times to help congestion.   Members can launch at the campground or at the bridge.   Please don’t block the campground road.
    3. White Salmon Retreat status (2018-07-14)   We have the camp and extra toilets.   The usual meet is at the takeout at noon.  David will give Rebecca some checks prior to the white salmon to pay for camping.   Rebecca might not be there, but we will figure it out at the July board meeting.    Nancy, Randy, Aaron and Kat are trip leaders.
    4. Poker Run planning (2018-08-11)    Planning finalizes at the Sauk overnighter with B and Jason.    Jason will make more cards.  We ran out last year.    Joe/Mary propose getting a drybag for each station.   Mary has grabbed the stamps.  Joe will call MSR and see if they will donate bags.   David mentions we can order wholesale thru NRS.   We will do this on the poker run committee budget.   Brenan notes that there are 4 extra camps at Newhalem.  Brenan recommends parking trailers at the bottom of the hill.

    3. David will put the extra budget for Nisqually Cleanup, Wenatchee port o lets (once we have ballpark, prob $250) and also check the poker run budget for dry bags.    BF:  David check this I thought there was 1 more?

  • Old Business
    1. Status of safety class planning:   See below for voting
  • New Business
    1. Budget items to discuss:    (Current in bank account:   $6719.79 as of 2-13-18.   There is $2,100 liability at the end of February and membership money will be flowing in as events occur)
      1. 2017 item – Paid $143.91 for domain (wrrr.org) for 9 years
      2. Safety class subsidy:   (Room for 1 more person)
        1. Originally proposed 2017 (and paid) – $1284 (incl tax) for $100 per person subsidy
        2. New proposal – $1926 (incl tax but less the $1,284 already paid) for $150 per person subsidy vs $100 subsidy.   Motion passes
        3. Reason: Mistake in getting original quote – actual cost was $275 per person, reported as $225
      3. Local Index kayaker passes away on the NF Snoqualmie (Ernies Canyon).   Sad news some discussion about Rafting / Kayaking and legacy’s
      4. Prizes:
        1. Proposal – $2400 total, $1000 for Wenatchee, $1400 for Poker Run:  Brenan 2nd this motion, motion carries full support and passed
        2. Reason: We made a total of $2478 in 2017, $1700 was Poker Run.   David mentions splitting it up to prevent a spiral, all agree makes sense.
      5. Poker Run BBQ:
        1. Proposal – $150   Rebecca seconds motion, motion carries no discussion
        2. Reason: We have been doing this without a budget for a few years
      6. American Whitewater Membership:
        1. Proposal – $100   Steve asked what that covers, David mentions affiliate membership for WRRR.    Magazine / membership can be a raffle prize? Rebecca 2nd, motion passes unopposed
        2. Reason: Was $75, but it went up in 2018
      7. Tieton toilets:
        1. Proposal – $550 (was $500).   Some discussion, Joe asks if we should team up with Mike to eliminate the 14 day rule?   Brenan is ok going up against them forever!    Possiblity of using River Booty, but it would go through Blue Sky, Rebecca worries about the alteration of permits by others.   Motion Passes for budget.  Rebecca will follow up with the rangers early this year
        2. Reason: Price went up in 2017  ($535) for 5 toilets, but we get reimbursed from OWA and usually Dave.    Dumpsters we share with Mike no new budget
      8. Brenan and David discuss general account balances for new board members benefit.  We get prize money from wenatchee and skagit.   The prize income from previous year generally sets the budget for the current year with the addition of any donated items.   Membership carries the general income / expenses.  We usually have $4,000-7,000 in the bank depending on expenses.  Most expenses for 2018 are paid (camping)
      9. Military Parade at Flip Practice:   Motion does not carry, by a close margin, some discussion
        1. Proposal – $4,000,000
        2. Reason: Presidential decree
    2. Status for getting donations of prizes.    Brenan and Shawn are working on prizes this year.   Camstraps.com is one to contact, Brenan mentions we usually start after green river cleanup due to manpower so any help before then is appreciated.
